Capture something
The two ways to photograph a thing into Intonella, and what happens next.
Point the camera at the thing and take the picture. That’s the whole gesture. Intonella works out what it’s on its own — the brand, the model, the colour, the dates, the small print — and the card is waiting when you next open the app.
The two ways in
From the app. Tap the camera button. It sits on every screen, so you’re never more than one tap from a capture. Press and hold it to pick a file instead, which is how a PDF gets in — see Keep a ticket or a PDF.
From photos you already have. Settings → Import photos. See Bring in photos you already have.
While it is thinking
A capture appears immediately and fills in over the next few seconds. You don’t have to wait for it, and you don’t have to be online — a capture made with no signal is kept on the phone and understood as soon as you’re back.
When it cannot read something
Some photographs can’t be read: a label at a hard angle, a reflection across the important line, a picture too dark to make anything out. The item is still yours and still in your library — it just has no card. Open it and retake the photograph, and Intonella tries again.
Your camera roll
Captures made in Intonella don’t appear in your photo stream. If you would rather keep a copy there, turn on Settings → Save photos to gallery.
